PRCS increased its readiness to respond to the needs of Palestinians affected by Israeli attacks in various areas in the oPt. Below are the PRCS interventions during the reporting period.

PRCS’ Interventions:

I- The Gaza Strip

• PRCS’ teams provided First Aid services and transfer 56 wounded Palestinians to hospitals during the reported period. The Society also evacuated the bodies of 5 persons from various areas in the Gaza Strip.

• The PRCS Al Quds Hospital and Al Amal Hospital in Khan Younis have received many of the casualties and provided the necessary medical attention to them. Around 6052 persons were treated in the PRCS hospitals since the start of the attack on the Strip.

• As for the PRCS psychosocial support team (consisting of 137 specialists), they have provided their support to 20790 beneficiaries hosted in shelters in different areas Beit Lahia, Khan Younis, Rafah,
Jabalya, and Gaza since the start of the attack. Total figure includes also PRCS staff and volunteers who are performing their humanitarian duty in the field.

The number of beneficiaries is distributed according to age as follows:

 Below 18 years old: 6106 F and 5389 M
 Above 18 years old: 5653 F and 3642 M

• The PRCS team in Jabalya branch with the ICRC started the house destruction assessment in Beit Hanoun in order to later distribute relief items to the owners of these houses. As a result of the assessment, there are 199 houses completely damaged, and 228 houses partially damaged.

• Since the beginning of the attack, the PRCS teams distributed emergency relief items such as mattresses, covers, hygiene kits, food, some cloths and water gallons to 16184 families (96966 individuals) in government schools turned into shelters, some UNRWA schools, and public buildings in Gaza city, Khan Younis, Deir Al Balah, and Rafah.

• The Arab Emirates RC Field Hospital run and managed by the PRCS teams treated during the reporting period almost 83 persons.

II- The West Bank

• PRCS’ teams provided First Aid services and transfer more than 121 wounded Palestinians to hospitals. The Society also evacuated three dead bodies from Nablus and Hebron.

Humanitarian Aid:

• In response to the PRCS Emergency Appeal launched for the benefit of the affected in the Gaza Strip, number of the Red Cross/Red Crescent Societies contributed as following:

• The Irish Red Cross contributed in 50,000 euro to cover health services for the affected in the Gaza Strip.

• The Malta Red Cross has contributed in 300,000 euro.

• The Chinese Red Cross contributed in $100,000.

• The Japanese Red Cross contributed in $97,478.

• An ambulance was donated by Mercy Relief organization for the PRCS in the Gaza Strip.
